About: Ciara was a 3-sport varsity letterman (volleyball, basketball, track) in High School and competitive AAU volleyball player. She chose to come to UF, following her parent’s footsteps. Her Dad was a high jumper and Mom was a distance runner for the UF Track Team. In fact, her Mom is in the UF Athletic Hall of Fame for her multiple All-American and SEC records. Her brother Conor has followed the family and is now a UF cheerleader. Academically, Ciara received the Cambridge AICE diploma with Merit Distinction and graduated as Salutatorian. She plans on becoming a physician.
Career: Walked on as a true Novice in Fall of her freshman year. She has competed in several boats, including NovA, WV8+, WLW8+. WLW4+. Held 100M World and 100M and 6000M American Records on Concept 2. Looking forward to her Senior year!
Favorite Memory about Crew: Crossing the finish line boat-lengths ahead in first place in ACRA National Regatta in the Women’s Varsity Lightweight 4+. It was rainy and cold for May, but I could not be happier to finish off the season with an amazing weekend.
